In multi-storey car parks, it can get very tight quickly when trying to park, or even when entering and exiting;every centimetre counts. The smaller the turning circle, the easier it is to manoeuvre.With the large steering angle, the rear axle steering plays even more to its strengths:The turning circle can thus be additionally reduced by up to 1 metre.
Your advantages at a glance
The Rear axle steering with larger steering angle (max. 10° steering angle adjustment) improves the handling and manoeuvrability of your compatible Mercedes-Benz. It is automatically active when parking or when exiting parking spaces, and when driving slowly.Compared to rear axle steering without a large steering angle, you require about 1 metre less space for the turning circle, and even up to 2 metres less when compared to vehicles without rear axle steering. You can see which steering angle is currently set and which driving curve results from this in the central display.
Product information
The vehicle must be equipped with rear axle steering with 4.5° steering angle adjustment (201) as well as either the Parking Package with 360° camera (P47) or the Parking Package with remote parking functions (PBH). Use of the service is not possible with mixed tyres.

How is activation carried out in the vehicle?
Once you have confirmed that the service is available for your vehilce, please ensure that your vehicle is connected to your Mercedes-Benz account and that the vehicle has GPS reception. Add the Rear axle steering with large steering angle product to your shopping cart in the Mercedes-Benz Store and complete the order. To activate, the ignition of the vehicle must be switched off. After approximately 2 minutes, switch the ignition on again. If the activation was successful, you will receive a notification via your vehicle's multimedia system. If no notification appears, please repeat the above procedure.
