In multi-storey car parks, it can get very tight quickly when trying to park, or even when entering and exiting; every centimetre counts. The smaller the turning circle, the easier it is to manoeuvre. With the large steering angle, the rear axle steering plays even more to its strengths:The turning circle can thus be additionally reduced by up to 1 metre.
Your advantages at a glance
The Rear axle steering with larger steering angle (max. 10° steering angle adjustment) improves the handling and manoeuvrability of your Mercedes. It is automatically active when parking or when exiting parking spaces, and when driving slowly.Compared to rear axle steering without a large steering angle, you require about 1 metre less space for the turning circle, and even up to 2 metres when compared to vehicles without rear axle steering. You can see which steering angle is currently set and which driving curve results from this in the central display.
Product information
The vehicle must be equipped with rear axle steering with 4.5° steering angle adjustment as well as the 360° camera. Use of the Digital Extra is not possible with mixed tyres.

1. Operational Requirements
Digital Extras are available immediately upon completion of the ordering process, but activation may take several hours. However, you must complete utilization procedures, including having the purchased Digital Extras enabled, before using them.
2. License Term
The license period for Digital Extra purchased in the store is 365 days for a 12-month license, or if purchased with a monthly automatic renewal (subscription), it will automatically renew every month until you terminate the contract.
If the license has a specified period, you can purchase a new product (excluding subscriptions) starting 30 days before the expiration date. However, the license period for the newly purchased product will begin upon purchase, and any remaining license period will be forfeited.
How is activation carried out in the vehicle?
Please ensure that your vehicle is connected to your Mercedes-Benz account and that the vehicle has GPS reception. Add the Rear axle steering with large steering angle Digital Extra to your shopping cart in the Mercedes-Benz Store and complete the order.
To activate, the ignition of the vehicle must be switched off. After approximately 2 minutes, switch the ignition on again. If the activation was successful, you will receive a notification via your vehicle's multimedia system. If no notification appears, please repeat the above procedure.
Withdrawal, Cancellation:
Cancellation and revocation of your application can not be accepted after credit settlement is completed.
Cooling-off also can not be applicable.
However, under circumstances described in Section 3, 4 and 5 of Part L of the General Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Digital Extras, a part of the fees paid by the Customer to MBJ for the relevant Digital Extras will be granted back to the Customer in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for Digital Extras.
