All the maps are stored on the hard disc, so you have access to all the data at any time. In addition, the 3D map display helps you with orientation by showing three-dimensional images of buildings. Naturally these are in the familiar, high Mercedes-Benz quality. The POI search function helps you to find places of interest. And thanks the intuitive voice control, you can control the navigation system in your own words, not with learned commands.

Hard-disc navigation is available for vehicles of the following model series via software update as of 09/24:
Model series 206:
- C-Class Saloon from 03/21 to 07/24
- C-Class Saloon long version from 06/21 to 07/24
- C-Class Estate from 07/21 to 07/24
Model series 254:
- GLC-Class from 08/22 to 06/24
- GLC-Class Coupé from 05/23 to 06/24
- GLC-Class long version from 03/23 to 06/24
The corresponding software update (Freshup 5) can take place as an "over-the-air" update or at a Mercedes-Benz dealer (plus installation costs).
How do I activate the Hard-disc navigation in the vehicle?
PPlease make sure that your vehicle is connected to your Mercedes-Benz account and that the vehicle's GPS reception is working. In the Mercedes-Benz Store place the Hard-disc navigation available for your vehicle in the shopping cart and complete the order.
The vehicle's ignition must be turned off for activation. Turn the ignition on again after approximately 2 minutes. The menu item "Navigation" is redisplayed on the main screen/homescreen of the multimedia system in your Mercedes and is available for use.Are there any additional costs for the Digital Extra?
When you purchase the Hard-disc navigation the Digital Service Online Map Update is enabled for you and can be used free of charge for a limited period of three years from the date of initial activation.Can I use the included Digital Extra immediately?
After purchasing the Hard-disc navigation you can use the Digital Extra Online Map Update. The availability of the Digital Extra will be shown in your Mercedes-Benz profile. To enable the Digital Extra, please follow the activation instructions in the Mercedes-Benz profile.Withdrawal, Cancellation:
Cancellation and revocation of your application can not be accepted after credit settlement is completed.

However, under circumstances described in Section 3, 4 and 5 of Part L of the General Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Digital Extras, a part of the fees paid by the Customer to MBJ for the relevant Digital Extras will be granted back to the Customer in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for Digital Extras.

If you cannot use the Fee-Based Digital Extra that you purchased, MBJ may refund the fees to you in accordance with the following terms, pursuant to the General Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Fee-Based Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras. (No refund will be made after one year or more has elapsed since the purchase date.)
WWithin less than 30 days from the date of purchase: 95% of the fees
After 30 days or more and within less than one year from the date of purchase: 50% of the feesWhen the unavailability of the Fee-Based Digital Extra is caused by defects or issues with vehicles, communication equipment or any other hardware (the “Vehicles”), the Fee-Based Digital Extra may become available by repair, exchange or the like of the Vehicles (where the warranty of the Vehicles is valid, MBJ handles the warranty in accordance with the warranty terms). When the Fee-Based Digital Extra become available by repair, exchange or the like of the Vehicles, MBJ will not make any refund as described in (1) above.
